At Duprey, we offer a strong curriculum that challenges every student. As a community of learners, we expect everyone to be involved in the learning process, including administrators, teachers, students, and parents. Our teachers participate in ongoing professional development to prepare themselves in these various programs and initiatives. As a small school we are able to offer more personalization in a positive learning environment.
CDE's Programming at Duprey Our partnership with Duprey began in March 2010 working with the 6-8th grade students on a poetry unit that focused on the teens view and vision of Chicago and what community meant to them. This partnership was so successful that CDE was asked to work with the schools K-3rd graders in an after school program that blended theatre, art, dance, music and of course books together for diversified learning experience. CDE returned again to work with the 6-8th graders dividing them up by gender to write, create and express. Working with Principle Dr. Roman has been a true collaboration of learning and arts integration. Below are a few photos over the years.
