Kids Project: School Programs & Performances

Bring Kids Project to your school or community center for after school programs, workshops and classes that are progress arts based education!

Schools and Educational Facilities - Kids Project can help to set up or merge with your existing after school programs, teaching dance, art, theatre and creative play classes to kids Pre-K through High School.

Arts in Education - during the school day, our artists collaborate with teachers for paired curricula around a subject that the students are studying. We can help bring books to life, bring the science and other subjects to the stage or illuminate the study of history through dance or visual art. These classes can be geared towards teaching only the arts or they can incorporate science, math and other subjects at the request of the contactor.

Kids Project Touring Program

Tales from Around the World - a multicultural telling of tales from around the world through music, dance and theatre from around the world. Stories include Zomo the Rabbit, The Gift of the Crocodile and several others that are adapted from popular children’s books.

The Global Cinderella Story - this is a collection of Cinderella stories from around the world including not only European versions but also Native American and Indonesian tales as well as one based on a Bigfoot myth.

Kids Project Touring performances are based on classic children’s literature and include audience participation. For the teachers we have a curriculum guide that includes lesson plan ideas, art projects, and discussion topics.

Kids Project is part of the Illinois Arts Councils Artist in Education and Arts Tour Roster and can be partially funded by their programs.
