4th annual Full Circle Danztheatre Festival premieres this winter
Chicago, IL - Jan 12, 2007 Time marches onward, interminably, it seems. We focus on the big moments, the life-changing events. Sometimes the smaller moments that surround the big moments are the ones that hold the most substance. Adler Danztheatre Project’s 4th annual Full Circle Danztheatre Festival brings time to the stage in “The day, the hour, the second, the moment after”. Premiering February 15 – 23, 2007 at Hamlin Park Studio Theater (3035 N. Hoyne), the festival presents two separate programs with 16 of Chicago’s most innovative dance and dance/theater companies.
Program One: Thursday, February 15 and Friday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m.Poster Child examines the choice to live in the here and now. Gina Cornejo shows the second in which a life changes direction. Diandra Jones light-heartedly pokes fun at the charismatic American politician: “It's no wonder the nation marched whole-heartedly behind them into one historical catastrophe after another." Other works include Perceptual Motion, INC., RTG Dance, Lindsey Marks, Nina Corwin, and Erin Rohberg.
Program Two: Friday, February 16 and Thursday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Adler Danztheatre Project’s Allyson Esposito presents a touching journey through the loss of a relationship to finding the ability to stand strong. Soul Theatre portrays a battle between two beings that inhabit one skin. Christy Munch choreographed a dance within a dance that spins around the notion of finding the exact essence of the life. Erin Carlisle Norton explores the themes of self with the hint of guardedness and curiosity. Working Class Theatre discovers the moment of finality. Leah Raffanti demonstrates how women relate to each other on a physical and metaphysical level. Other works include Thread Meddle Outfit and Zephyra.
